Located 60 km north of Lisbon, Lourinhã is close to the A8 highway, which makes it very accessible. With an area of 146 km2 and 26,000 inhabitants, it comprises 8 Parishes and is a place of valuable Historical-cultural Heritage. Agricultural production, with predominance of vegetables, maintains a strong presence in the local landscape, with organic production a growing trend. On the coast there's many beautiful beaches among them Areia Branca (2 km), Vale Frades, Areal, Peralta, Porto de Barcas, Porto Dinheiro and Valmitão.

In addition to a rich historical heritage, the beaches extend all along the coast, on a route that the sun visits, hot and bright, throughout the year, inviting the practice of various water sports like surfing, fishing, underwater fishing, underwater photography, jet skiing. Nature offers its visitors quiet and relaxing holidays. D.O.C. Brandy
The soil of Lourinhã produces the grapes that make its famous brandy, which for more than 200 years has provided the houses that produce the best wines of Porto. Its recognition makes it the only Demarcated Region of the Country, only for the production of Spirits, being one of three regions in the European space.
